The Villanova Wildcats are always thought highly of in the preseason and nothing in their 2-0 start has changed that as the Wildcats improved to 2-0 with their second consecutive rout in an 81-44 victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore. This game boiled down to Nova being too big and too fast and simply too talented. The Hawks struggled to make shots at 34% and with 20 turnovers giving the 57% shooting Wildcats 13 more looks at the basket. A balanced Villanova attack produced four double digit scorers with Kris Jenkins leading the way with 15 points on 5-9 shooting. Darrun Hilliard, Daniel Ochefu and Dylan Ennis each scoring ten points with the latter two grabbiing 14 rebounds. JayVaughn Pinkston and Josh Hart added another 17 points with Nova able to do anything they wanted.
Bucknell are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games overall. For Villanova the under is 8-1-1 in VILL last 10 home games and is 6-2-1 in Villanova's last 9 overall while the over is 6-2 in Villanova's last 8 Thursday games. Bucknell has generally been a top dog in the Patriot League but are predicted to finish in the bottom half of the conference. On the flip side Villanova is penciled in as the top team in the Big East and a nationally ranked program. Going just on potential I'll siide with the Wildcats but I'm not crazy about the chalk...
