The Duke Blue Devils continue to be one of the more impressive teams in the nation pounding Temple on Friday to get to this game. Duke led by 10 points at the half on Friday and then outscored the Owl by another 10 in the second half to win by 20. Duke shot just 39.1 percent from the floor and 30.4 percent from beyond the three-point arc while allowing Temple to shoot 37.3 percent. Quinn Cook had 17 points and five rebounds to lead Duke. Jahlil Okafor had 16 points and eight rebounds, Justise Winslow had 15 points, and Tyus Jones had seven assists. This looks to be one of the better teams Duke has had in recent years.
Stanford is 9-2-1 against the spread in their last 11 non-conference games, 1-4 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread, and 4-1 against the spread following a win by 20 or more points. Duke is 4-0 against the spread in their last four games, 9-3 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread, and 4-0 against the spread in their last four non-conference games.
This is a big number but so far from what we have seen of Duke they are this good.
