The Miami Hurricanes and Charlotte 49ers play Tuesday night at the Halton Arena.
The Miami Hurricanes are off to an impressive 5-0 start and are now a ranked team. On the season, Miami is averaging 75 points on 49.5 percent shooting and is allowing 54.2 points on 37.3 percent shooting. Angel Rodriguez leads Miami with 16.6 points and 4.8 assists while Sheldon McClellan is averaging 13.8 points and six rebounds. Manu Lecomte is Miami’s third player averaging double-digit points and Tonye Jekiri is grabbing 11 rebounds per game. This is slowly starting to look like the Miami Hurricanes NCAA team that Shane Larkin was leading a few years ago, and they have a chance to be a force in the tough ACC if they can keep up this level of play. The Canes are playing great at both ends of the floor and aren’t getting enough credit defensively where they’re averaging more than seven steals per game.

The Charlotte 49ers look to return the favor the Miami Hurricanes after losing to them on Sunday. On the season, Charlotte is averaging 75.5 points on 46.6 percent shooting and allowing 74.2 points on 40.4 percent shooting. Mike Thorne Jr. leads the 49ers with 15 points and 9.8 rebounds while Braxton Ogbueze is averaging 13 points on 46.7 percent shooting. Pierria Henry is the third Charlotte player to average double-digit points and Terrence Williams is grabbing 4.3 rebounds in limited time. This is a talented Charlotte 49ers team but is struggling on the defensive side, allowing 77 or more points in two of its last three games. This game will tell us if Charlotte is a true C-USA contender or not. Bernard Sullivan is questionable for this matchup with a concussion.
The Hurricanes are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The 49ers are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 non-conference games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Hurricanes are 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings.
Both of these teams are good, which is why I find it hard to pick against the 49ers. It's tough to beat a good team twice in a week. Look for te 49ers to take better care of the basketball and make more of a game out of it this time. Give me the points
