The Line: Ohio State Buckeyes -26 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Campbell Camels and Ohio State Buckeyes play Wednesday night at the Value City Arena.
The Campbell Camels are 1-2 on the season and will begin their three-game road trip. Campbell is averaging 49.5 points on 41.4 percent shooting and is allowing 70 points on 49.5 percent shooting. D.J. Mason leads Campbell with 15.3 points on 53.8 percent shooting and Kyre' Hamer is averaging 14 points and eight rebounds. Andrew Ryan is shooting 37.5 percent from downtown and freshman Curtis Phillips has 23 points in the first three games. The Campbell Camels, who were expected to be one of the worst teams in the Big South, have actually started better than expected. Campbell is averaging nearly 17 assists per game and held its own against Colgate on the road. However, Campbell must improve its 41.8 percent free throw shooting or things will get ugly.
USA TODAY Sports
The Ohio State Buckeyes are off to a 3-0 start and will enjoy yet another home game. On the season, Ohio State is averaging 90.7 points on 60.8 percent shooting and is allowing 55.3 points on 36.6 percent shooting. D'Angelo Russell leads OSU with 15 points and five assists while Sam Thompson is averaging 12 points and 4.7 rebounds. Marc Loving is shooting 61.1 percent from the field and Shannon Scott is averaging 13.7 assists per game. The Ohio State Buckeyes are simply crushing their opponents and have the best shooting percentage in all of basketball. Ohio State is sharing the ball well and continues to play that elite level defense on top of that. Of course, the level of competition hasn’t been the best but going off what I’ve seen so far, the Buckeyes are a team that will make a run for the Big Ten title.
The Camels are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The Buckeyes are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 Wednesday games.
With the way Ohio State is crushing teams out of the gate, there's no reason why the Buckeyes can't cover this large number. I hate laying huge chalk but this has blowout written all over it.
