The North Carolina Tar Heels and UCLA Bruins play Thanksgiving night.
The North Carolina Tar Heels look to bounce back from a horrible loss to the Butler Bulldogs. On the season, North Carolina is averaging 83.8 points on 45.7 percent shooting and is allowing 66.2 points on 33.1 percent shooting. Kennedy Meeks leads North Carolina with 14.3 points and 10.8 rebounds while Brice Johnson is averaging 13.8 points and seven rebounds. Marcus Paige is shooting 34.8 percent from the field and J.P. Tokoto is dishing out 5.5 assists. The North Carolina Tar Heels are one of the top scoring and rebounding teams in the country but could improve their defense a bit if they’re going to live up to their ranking. Also, there’s no excuse for North Carolina to give up 29 offensive rebounding in the loss to Butler. This should be a huge bounce back game for North Carolina.

The UCLA Bruins fell to the Oklahoma Sooners and hope to get back on track. On the season, UCLA is averaging 89.2 points on 47 percent shooting and is allowing 72.2 points on 41 percent shooting. Bryce Alford leads UCLA with 19.8 points and 8.2 assists while Norman Powell is averaging 18.6 points and 5.2 rebounds. Kevon Looney leads the Bruins with 12.6 rebounds and Tony Parker is shooting 62.2 percent from the field. The UCLA Bruins are great offensively, shooting above 39 percent from three and even 64.4 percent from the free throw line. However, UCLA can suffer on the defensive end and tends to take plays off at that end of the court. UCLA can score with anybody but has to be more committed at both ends if it’s going to return to the glory days.
The Tar Heels are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Pacific-12 and 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Bruins are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS loss and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
UCLA is a better rebounding team than Butler is, so North Carolina could be in big trouble on the boards. The Bruins also don't have to work so hard for the points. I have the Bruins winning this game, as they've looked better at both ends.
