The Wisconsin Badgers and the Georgetown Hoyas face off on Thursday in the Bahamas in he winners bracket of the Battle4Atlantis college basketball tournament.
The Wisconsin Badgers raised their record to 5-0 for the season by crushing UAB 72-43 in their opening round game in Paradise Island. Wisconsin shot 51.9 percent from the floor and 27.8 percent from beyond the three-point arc to rack up their 72 points. Frank Kaminsky scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to lead he badgers. Duje Dukan scored 11 points, Josh Gasser had 10 points, and Nigel Hayes had 9 points as Wisconsin led by 20 at halftime and extended the lead from there. Wisconsin shot just 59.1 percent from the free throw line but it didn’t matter in this one sided game.

The Georgetown Hoyas needed overtime to beat the Florida Gators but they got it done beating UF by one point. Georgetown shot 49 percent from the floor hitting just 23.1 percent of their shots from beyond the three-point arc and 68.2 percent of their free throw chances. D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera scored 17 points to lead the Hoyas. Jabril Trawick scored 10 points and had six rebounds, Paul White had 10 points and five rebounds, and Joshua Smith, L.J. Pike, and Mikael Hopkins each had eight points. Georgetown held Florida to just 35.9 percent shooting.
Wisconsin is 10-1-1 against the spread in their last 12 games, 7-0-1 against the spread following a win, and 19-7-1 against the spread in their last 27 neutral site games. Georgetown is 3-1-1 against the spread in heir last five neutral site games, 1-3-1 against the spread following a win, and 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five non-conference games.
The line fis a big one for a game like this but I am not ready to go against the Badgers who can put so many points on the board.
