D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera led the Hoyas with 29 points and five rebounds, Joshua Smith had 10 points, and Aaron Bowen had eight points. Georgetown lost the rebounding battle 20-25 and they were outshot at the line and that was the difference in this tight game.

The Butler Bulldogs couldn’t duplicate Wednesday’s magic they had n their win over North Carolina as they fell to Oklahoma on Thursday. Butler went cold from the floor shooting just 23.7 percent and 17.4 percent from beyond the three-point arc and they hit 66.7 percent of their shots from beyond the three-point arc. Kellen Dunham had 17 points and five rebounds, Andrew Chrabascz had nine points, and Austin Etherington had six points. After dominating the boards against UNC Butler was outrebounded 28-38 by Oklahoma.
