The Nebraska Cornhuskers are off to a 3-1 start and hope to build some consistency. On the season, Nebraska is averaging 76 points on 47.4 percent shooting and is allowing 62.5 points on 36.1 percent shooting. Shavon Shields leads Nebraska with 23.5 points and eight rebounds while Terran Petteway is racking up 20.8 points and six rebounds. Tai Webster is shooting 50 percent from the field and Moses Abraham is grabbing 6.3 rebounds in limited playing time. The Nebraska Cornhuskers have all of the talent to be a force in the Big Ten this season but must boost their shooting percentage of 28.6 percent from downtown. Nebraska does a lot of things right but the lack of outside shooting can haunt them throughout the year if it doesn’t improve.
The Skyhawks are 8-21-1 ATS in their last 30 games following a S.U. win and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 Friday games. The Cornhuskers are 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 home games and 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games overall.
I like Nebraska but the rocky start early has scared me a little. The Cornhuskers aren't exactly playing regular season basketball just yet and Tennessee-Martin has looked decent. Give me the points.
