The Washington Huskies put their unbeaten record on the line versus the Long Beach State 49ers in the Wooden Legacy.
Long Beach State is looking to make themselves a factor in the Big West despite some significant departures. The 49ers showed plenty of promise in a 73-55 victory versus a decent Western Michigan squad in their Wooden Legacy opener. A 42-25 second half run broke open a close contest in a sloppy game that saw both teams combine for 41 turnovers. The major difference was LBSU hit at 47% from the floor with the Broncos held to 30.5% and 3-24 effort on threes which was decisive. Mike Caffey led the 49ers attack with 18 points and seven boards with six TO while Tyler lamb tossed in 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds followed by David Samuels and McKay LaSalle with 19 points.

The Washington Huskies are out to prove they will be in the mix in the PAC 12 race as they have bolted to a 4-0 record out of the gate. The Huskies have been strong at both ends of the floor with the ability to score and defend and were at heir best in their Wooden Legacy opener by thrashing San Jose State 78-56. UW was by 17 heading to the locker room and were never challenged behind 47% from the floor while the Spartans were stiffled on 30.6%. Donaven Dorsey led four double figure scorers with 17 points followed by Nigel Williams-Goss adding 13 points, six pulls and eight assists. Robert Upshaw was next in line with 12 points and seven blocks while Shawn Kemp Jr. chipped in with eleven points.
The over is 9-2 in LBSU last 11 vs. Pacific-12 while LBSU are 5-21 ATS in their last 26 vs. Pacific-12 with the under going 6-2 in LBSU last 8 Fri. games. For Washington the over is 6-1-1 in Washington last 8 neutral site games and Washington is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 Fri. games with the over going 9-4 in WASH last 13 non-conference games. Washington has been the better offensive team thus far but I was impressed with the 49ers rout of Western Michigan so this team has scoring ability. I'm waiting for the line to come out and if it's too big I might take a look at Long Beach State...
