The Wofford Terriers enter the contest 5-1 on the season with a recent 82-54 drubbing of the Ohio Valley Fighting Scots this past Tuesday. The Terriers shot 49.1% from the field and were led by Karl Cochran who had a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Spencer Collins also chipped in 18 points on 6-9 shooting and Justin Gordon added 13 points. The Terriers did a nice job on the defensive end as they held the Fighting Scots to just 38.2% from the field while committing just 14 fouls in the entire game. The Terriers have strung together 5-stright wins since their opening season loss at Stanford and have done a nice job on both ends of the floor as they are shooing a stellar 48.6% (54th ranked) while holding teams to just 59.7ppg (ranked 74th). Wofford will work harder in the key as currently they are grabbing just 32.5 rpg (272nd) and are only registering just 0.5 blocks per game which ranks 350th in the country.

William & Mary comes into contest on a 4-game winning streak after easily handing the Western Illinois Leathernecks 83-49 this past Tuesday night. After opening the season with a 68-45 loss at Florida, the Tribe have beaten their last 4 opponents by an average of 22.0 points per game. Leading the way for the Tribe this season has been 2013-14 CAA first-team all-conference Marcus Thornton (15.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.0 apg), 2013-14 CAA Rookie of the Year Omar Prewitt (12.0 ppg, 3.6 rpg) and Terry Tarpey (8.0 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 4.5 apg). William & Mary fell just short of making the NCAA tournament last year after year, however, are projected to be the team to beat in the CAA this season. The Tribe have done a nice job on the defensive glass this season as they as they are pulling 27.2 defensive rebounds per game and are holding opponents to just 57.6 ppg.
The Terriers are 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 road games and just 15-5 ATS in their last 20 games overall. The Tribe are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
Both Wofford and William & Mary are solid mid-major teams and this game will be one of the better match-ups this Saturday. This is going to be a tight game and as William & Mary has more of a presence on the boards and for the fact they are playing in front of their home crowd, I think that the Tribe will take home the victory in this one. Let’s take William & Mary to cover the small spread.
