The Rider Broncs fell to 1-4 on the season and took their second loss in the tournament losing to Georgia Tech by seven. Rider shot 41.2 percent from the floor but just 15.8 percent from beyond the three-point arc hitting 3 of 19. Matt Lopez had 13 points and five rebounds to lead the Broncs, Zedric Sadler scored nine points, and Shawn Valentine scored nine points. Rider got a nice trip to Orlando but that’s about all they are taking away fro this as it hasn’t been a good experience on the court.

The Santa Clara Broncos fell to 2-4 for the season and 0-2 in the tournament as they lost to URI by 22 points on Friday. Brandon Clark had 14 points, Matt Hubbard had 10 points, and Jared Brownridge had seven points. Santa Clara allowed URI to shoot 53.2 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent from beyond the three-point line.
