The Valparaiso Crusaders are out to prove they are a legitimate challenger in the Horizon League with an impressive 5-1 start to kick off the season after a 66-46 rout of Drake in the Challenge in Music City. Valpo led Drake by eight at the half before slowly pulling away as they put on the defensive squeeze with Drake held to 35% from the floor which made the Crusaders a winner with their 43.6% shooting combined with 15 more shots. Darien Walker led all scorers with 19 points on 7-14 from the field with Keith Carter checking in with 15 points while Alec Peters scored ten points and grabbed six boards.
The under is 8-1 in Portland's last 9 overall while Portland are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games overall. For Valparaiso the Crusaders are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall while the under is 20-6 in VALP last 26 overall. Both teams are off to very solid starts which makes this a tough call at best. No line is even out but the trends suggest the under hits frequently when these teams take the floor...
