The #11 Villanova Wildcats put their unbeaten record on the line when the Delaware Blue Hens visit.
The Delaware Blue Hens look to work out the kinks at both ends of the floor as they travel travel to Villanova looking to get in to the win column for the first time. The Blue Hens have lost the Lion's Share of the talent from their CAA championship squad from a season ago and it shows in their 0-4 start. The Hens finished off their west coast trip with an 84-47 loss at Stanford in which the Cardinal led by 23 heading in to the locker room and were never challenged. Stanford didn't shoot lights out at 43.5% but didn't need to with Delaware connecting at 29%. Cazmon Hayes led the Delaware offense 15 pointsand six pulls on 4-21 shooting while Chivarsky Corbett followed with ten points. Kory Holden chipped in with eight points, five yanks and six helpers with the rest of the team adding 14 points.

In my view the Villanova Wildcats have earned their high ranking with a perfect 5-0 start capped by a win over VCU and then Michigan by a 60-55 count on Tuesday. The Wildcats can both score and defend and it was their defense that carried the day versus the Wolverines. The offense wasn't bad with 45% marksmanship but the defense was better with Michigan held to 41% with an 8-3 edge at the line providing the final margin. The Villanova offense received 15 points from Dylan Ennis with Daniel Ochefu following with ten points. Ryan Arcidiacono addeded nine points with the tandem of JayVaughn Pinkston and Josh Hart tossing in eight points and grabbing 17 rebounds.
The under is 13-5 in DEL last 18 non-conference games. For Villanova the under is 9-1-1 in Villanova's last 11 home games while Villanova are 23-9 ATS in their last 32 home games and are 35-16-1 ATS in their last 52 Sun. games. Villanova is a super team that right now is a National Championship threat while the Blue Hens CAA title team has been brutalized by graduation. I'm a Delaware fan and I'm backing the chalk but I'm not betting it...
