The Florida International Golden Panthers go on the road to face the #6 Louisville Cardinals Friday.
The Florida International Golden Panthers have started off well enough at 5-3 although the strength of schedule is questionable. With just one of their top five scorers back the scoring hasn't been scaring the opposition although the defense has been on solid footing. The Golden Panthers bounced back from a loss to Cal State Fullerton to smother Kennesaw State 59-38 on Tuesday. A 28-15 lead after 20 minutes set the tone with the Owls held to 27% from the field which made FIU's 43.6% better then good. Dennis Mavin and Daviyon Draper were the Golden Panthers big guns with 16 points each and a combined 14 rebounds. With minimal contributions from others this game was never in doubt.

The Louisville Cardinals left the Big East for the AAC and have now landed in the prestigious AAC and I'd bet my first born the Cardinals want to make a big splash in their first season. The Cardinals have excelled at both ends of the floor with five consecutive victories by double figures before knocking off Ohio State by 'just' nine points for a 6-0 start. It was vintage Louisville with a 35-18 lead heading to the locker room and few teams come back on the Cardinals when they have a big lead. Wayne Blackshear pumped in a contest high 22 points and grabbed six boards with Montrezl Harrell tossing in 13 points and hauling in ten rebounds. Terry Rozier and and Chris Jones combined for another 21 points and 12 boards as the starting five was responsible for all but six points.
The Golden Panthers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games following a SU win of more than 20 points and are 4-1-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. Florida International are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Atlantic Coast while going 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Cardinals are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 home games an are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win. Louisville are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 while the Cardinals are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. No chance of an upset here and to make it short and sweet the Cardinals cover if they feel like it...
