The Wisconsin Badgers and Marquette Golden Eagles play Saturday afternoon at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The Wisconsin Badgers hope to rebound from their loss to Duke as they play their first true road game. On the season, Wisconsin is averaging 74 points on 49.3 percent shooting and is allowing 54.2 points on 40.2 percent shooting. Frank Kaminsky is averaging 16.6 points and 8.8 rebounds while Nigel Hayes is averaging 12.4 points and 7.5 rebounds. Sam Dekker is shooting 52.2 percent from the field and Traevon Jackson is averaging three assists per game. The Wisconsin Badgers are still one of the more balanced teams in the country, shooting 35.2 percent from deep and 70.1 percent from the free throw line while the defense is forcing 13 turnovers and has allowed no more than 65 points in seven of their eight games. However, Wisconsin can sometimes become too dependent on Kaminsky.

The Marquette Golden Eagles have won three of their last four games and have a chance at that marquee win. On the season, Marquette is averaging 71.4 points on 45.2 percent shooting and is allowing 71.3 points on 49.7 percent shooting. Duane Wilson is averaging 14 points on 46.8 percent shooting and Matt Carlino is averaging 13.1 points and 3.9 assists. Juan Anderson is the third Marquette player to average double-digit points and Steve Taylor Jr. is averaging 5.6 rebounds per game. The Marquette Golden Eagles have one of the better offenses they’ve had in a while, which includes 36.1 percent shooting from deep. However, Marquette is averaging just 26.9 rebounds per game and is allowing teams to get quality looks despite forcing 17.1 turnovers per contest. This game will be interesting for the Golden Eagles.
The Badgers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games and 10-2-1 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The Golden Eagles are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Big Ten. The road team is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings and the underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings.
I hate laying this much chalk with a road team but I don't know how the Golden Eagles are going to keep things close when they can't rebound. Wisconsin has the advantage as far as offense and on the glass. When all said and done, the Badgers should win this by double digits.
