The Syracuse Orange look to bounce back from their heartbreaking loss to Michigan. On the season, Syracuse is averaging 69.4 points on 44.9 percent shooting and is allowing 54 points on 34.7 percent shooting. Rakeem Christmas is averaging 17.1 points and 8.6 rebounds while Chris McCullough is averaging 14.6 points and 8.9 rebounds. Trevor Cooney is the third Syracuse player to average double-digit points and Kaleb Joseph is averaging 5.6 assists. As usual, the Syracuse Orange rely on their defense that’s holding teams to 28 percent shooting from deep and forcing 15 turnovers per game. Syracuse is also one of the better rebounding teams in the country, averaging 42 rebounds per game. Now, if Syracuse could only get some consistent offensive production.
The Red Storm are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 road games and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Orange are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games and 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall. Red Storm are 1-6 ATS in the last 7 meetings and the road team is 13-5 ATS in the last 18 meetings.
I don't think anybody is sold on Syracuse, a team that can go stretches without scoring. St. John’s is a team that continues to fight and is tough on the glass. There should also be a decent amount of Red Storm fans considering these two teams aren't that far apart. I'll take my chances here with the points.
