The Georgia Bulldogs snapped a 2 game losing streak with a 86-55 victory over the Chattanooga Mocs this past Tuesday to improve to 4-3 on the season. The Bulldogs used a solid defensive effort in their victory as they held Chattanooga to just 31.0% shooting and outrebounded the Mocs 39-24. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Kenny Gaines who poured in 25 points on 9 of 11 shooting. Georgia played some stiff competition in the NIT Season Tip-Off which included close losses to Gonzaga and Minnesota. Currently Georgia has an RPI of 82 and SOS of 72. Leading the way for the Bulldogs this season have been Marcus Thornton (14.7 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.0 apg), Kenny Gaines (12.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 1.7 apg), and Charles Mann (12.6 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 3.9 apg). Offensively, Georgia has been averaging 76.1 ppg (ranked 59th) on 48.2% shooting (ranked 43rd). The Bulldogs have done a nice job on the glass as they are averaging 28.4 defensive rpg (ranked 27th) and 38.7 total rpg (ranked 71st)
The Buffalos are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 Sunday games and 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 non-conference games. The Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against the Pac-12 and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 overall games.
Colorado has rebounded nicely after their awful 56-33 loss at Wyoming a few weeks ago, however, their past three wins have all come from the comfort of their home court. Georgia lost to some tough competition early in the season, but have been very competitive. The Buffalos are getting a few points in this one, however, until Colorado can show that they can play on the road, I’m going to stay away from them. Take Georgia at home to cover this small spread.
