The Utah Valley Wolverines head to the McKale Center to tangle with the #3 Arizona Wildcats.
Through seven games it looks as if the Utah Valley Wolverines are going to need more scoring punch because life will be tough if they don't average more then 59 points which is too much of a burden to place on the defense. The Wolverines dropped their third straight 68-60 at Montana State despite a fairly even boxscore. Both teams hit shots at 45% with the main differnce being the Bobcats nailed four more long balls and made a few more free throws. Marcel Davis led the Utah Valley offense with 17 points and six rebounds on 6-10 shooting with Brenden Evans and Mitch Bruneel tossing in ten and eight points respectively with Bruneel hauling in a game high nine boards while Jaden Jackson added nine points.

The Arizona Wildcats are locked and loaded once again as the number three ranked team in the country at 8-0. The Wildcats have beaten Kansas State, San Diego State and last but not least Gonzaga 66-63 in overtime on Saturday. The Wildcats defense was outstanding by limiting an extremely dangerous Bulldogs attack to 40% shooting. Zona countered with 44% marksmanship with a 14-23 mark at the foul line almost costing them in a close game. Brandon Ashley led four double digit scorers with 14 points and five pulls on 6-11 from the field with TJ McConnell tossing in another 12. Kaleb Tarczewski and Stanley Johson scored eleven points apiece and snagged 12 rebounds between them. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson chipped in with eight points and six yanks with the entire eight man rotation scoring.
The Wolverines are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss and are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The Wildcats are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. Western Athletic while going 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Tuesday games. Arizona are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and are 20-8 ATS in their last 28 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. This is a monster spread which I expected. For me I know Arizona can cover if they want to but after that tough battle with Gonzaga the Wildcats might go in to cruise control early....
