The Monmouth Hawks go on the road to Rose Hill Gym where the Fordham Rams await.
The Monmouth Hawks enter their second season in the MAAC still looking for an identity after struggling mightily last season. The Hawks were a non factor in the conference which is what most expect from this team once again. The good news is Monmouth has won back to back league games after outscoring Iona 92-89 on Sunday to beat the Gaels at their own game. Iona sank half their looks and made 15 three pointers but the Hawks were even more deadly at 52% and a near perfect 19-23 at the line where they weren't good at last year. Justin Robinson poured in a team high 25 points with Deon Jones adding 18 points and five yanks followed by Max DiLeo and Andrew Nicholas with 12 and eleven points.

The Fordham Rams and winning are not mention in the same sentence together on a regular basis but the team is hoping for better things in 2014-'15. Thus far it hasn't been a good start at 2-4 with not enough scoring and too much scoring by opponents. The Rams ended a four game slide with a nice 69-67 decision over visiting Siena on Monday. The Rams held a slight 43%-41% shooting edge but held a 20-11 advantage at the stripe to offset 12 more looks at the basket by the Saints. Eric Paschall led a trio of double digit scorers with 19 pointson 7-13 from the field with three bombs while the tandem of Mandell Thomas and Antwoine Anderson tossing in 18 points apiece. The problem is the Hawks did not go much deeper then five players with five points come from other then the starting five.
The Hawks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games while going 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. Monmouth are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win. The Rams are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and Rams are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 vs. Metro Atlantic Athletic. Both teams have the potential to win with a slight edge to Monmouth...
