The Save Mart Center and the Fresno State Bulldogs host the Cal Poly Mustangs in late Saturday action.
The Cal Poly Mustangs came from nowhere to win the Big West playoffd and receive an NCAA bid. The Mustangs were just 10-19 during the regular season so nobody saw that coming and it might take another improbable run to repeat as every team will be watching them. The Mustangs only chance to win is to control the scoreboard which has happened in their wins. CP is coming off a 72-35 rout of sub division Menlo College which was never in doubt with Oaks trailing by 24 at the half. Althought the Mustangs hit at just 39% they had a +26 on the glass leading to 17 more looks with the visitors hitting at 29%. Brian Bennettpaced the offense with 15 points and eight boards with Joel Awich and Reese Morgan adding 13 and eleven points with ten players scoring overall.

The Fresno State Bulldogs season or the dirction of this season will likely be decided by what this team does in the next few weeks because there is no room for error with a 3-7 record. The Bulldogs saw their opportunity at a three game winning streak end in one sided 73-56 defeat at Texas Tech on Wednesday. The Red Raiders went on a 39-25 second half run to bust open a close gamewith 48% from the floor and a 19-22 effort at the line leading the way. Fresno was limited to 40% shooting and gave the ball away 22 times and simply didn't have enough offensive weapons. Marvelle Harris led the attack with 17 points on 6-13 but had five TO while Karachi Edo tossed in 13 points and snagged six pulls followed by Terrell Carter II and Darnell Taylor with eight points each.
