The Georgia Southern Eagles have won four of their last five games and play their third true road contest. On the season, Georgia Southern is averaging 69.8 points on 38.5 percent shooting and is allowing 67.8 points on 43.9 percent shooting. Jelani Hewitt leads the Eagles with 21.5 points and 4.5 assists while Trent Wiedeman is averaging 14.5 points and seven rebounds. Angel Matias is grabbing 7.5 rebounds and Mike Hughes is shooting 38.5 percent from the field. The Georgia Southern Eagles do a lot of things right such as averaging 43 rebounds per game, forcing more than 15 turnovers and coming away with 10 steals per contest. The issues with Georgia Southern start with 31.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc, as Hewitt is the Eagles only consistent deep ball shooter.

The South Florida Bulls have lost three of their last five games and could use a win to get back on track. On the season, South Florida is averaging 69.9 points on 49.5 percent shooting and is allowing 69.6 points on 39.6 percent shooting. Corey Allen Jr. leads the Bulls with 17.1 points and 4.4 rebounds while Chris Perry is averaging 12.6 points and 6.4 rebounds. Nehemias Morillo is grabbing 6.5 rebounds per game and Anthony Collins is averaging 6.5 assists. The South Florida Bulls are a quality offensive team with six different players averaging at least five points, and they’re shooting 32.1 percent from beyond the arc. Defensively, South Florida is forcing 13.7 turnovers per game and is holding teams to 36.2 percent shooting from downtown.
The Eagles are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games. The Bulls are 7-20 ATS in their last 27 home games and 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Not sure why this line is so lopsided, as the Georgia Southern Eagles are a quality team that has already hung with Illinois and UCF on the road. Give me the Eagles and the points, as GSU has a chance to win outright if it shows up.
