McKeon Pavilion and the Saint Mary's Gaels welcome the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks to town.
I'm not sure where the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks will do in the Big Sky but I do think they'll need to score more then 64 points to be a factor. The offense has put up some quality numbers and have struggled at times so consistency is concern number one. The Lumberjacks did just enough at the offensive end in a 71-69 victory over Loyola Marymount who connected at almost 46% but also gave the ball away 16 times. That gave the 45% shooting Lumberjacks 14 additional looks which was still barely enough. Quinton Upshur paced five DD scorers with 18 points with Aeseem Dixon adding 12 points. Kris Yanku followed with eleven points, five pulls and five assists while the duo of Ako Kaluna and Jordyn Martin contributed ten points each.

The Saint Mary's Gaels are once again a top three team in the West Coast but the question is do they have enough to unseat another loaded Gonzaga squad. The Gaels appear to have the offensive punch to stand toe to toe with anybody although the scoring was a bit subpar in Saturday's 71-67, overtime victory at Creighton. The Bluejays hit at less then 41% from the floor with SMC sinking shots at 43% with a 14-24 effort at the charity stripe being four mor then Creighton's. Aaron Bright led all scorers with 22 points on 8-14 in 41 minutes with Kerry Carter next in line with 19 points on 5-8 from long range. Dane Pineau followed with a 13 point, ten rebound effort while Brad Waldow scored eleven points, grabbed eleven boards and handed out five assists.
The Lumberjacks are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. Northern Arizona are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games following three or more consecutive home games and 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 games following a ATS loss. The Gaels are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 Tuesday games and 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 home games. Saint Mary's are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Big Sky and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games. I think Saint Mary's is the better team playing at home so they should be ready to put on a show...
