The Detroit Titans head to the Sunshine State to take the floor with the Central Florida Knights.
I don't know if the Detroit Titans will challenge for the horizon title but I wouldn't be too quick to count them out. The Titans have ability at both ends of the floor which makes them dangerous although they needed quite a bit more in a 77-68 loss to visiting Wichita State on Saturday. The Titans weren't dominated as they outshot the Shockers 44.8%-41% and held their own except at the foul line where the Shockers had nine more makes. Juwan Howard Jr. kept his team competitive with a game high 27 points with Matthew Grant and Paris Bass tossing in 12 points apiece and a combined 15 rebounds followed by an eight point, five pull effort.

The Central Florida Knights are looking to climb a few rungs in the AAC but in order to do so they will likely need more scoring punch as 66 points isn't enough. The Knight have dropped three in a row with a struggling offense beingh a major issue in Saturday's 54-41 defeat to visiting Florida Atlantic. FAU erased a one point deficit going to the locker room with a 29-14 second half run. The Owls only shot 34.7% but that was fantastic compared to the Knights 25.5% with FAU also sinking five more free throws. BJ Taylor was Central Florida's big gun on offense with 17 points on 4-8 from the floor including a 3-4 performance from long range. Taylor was the only player to shoot 50% and the only double digit scorer with the rest of the team scoring 24 points.
The Titans are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games following three or more consecutive home games. Detroit are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games. The Knights are 15-33-3 ATS in their last 51 games following a ATS loss. The Knights are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and are 7-20-1 ATS in their last 28 games overall while going 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 home games. I understand why Detroit is getting points but in my mind they are the better team and if they can handle the road trip...
