There has been a lot of talk about Louisiana Tech winning the CUSA crown but I wouldn't be so quick to count out Old Dominion who has been playing well at 7-2 behind an airtight defense that is allowing under 59 points. The Monarchs have racked up four straight victories after a one sided 85-48 rout of an outmanned North Carolina A&T club. The Aggies were done five minutes after the opening tip with ODU up 21 after 20 minutes. Old Dominion won most categories in the boxscore with the biggest difference being their 54%-39.6% shooting edge which was made even bigger with 13 more shots. Richard Ross led four double digit scorers with 12 points and five yanks with Ambrose Mosley netting eleven followed by Aaron Bacote and Nik Bibaraj with ten points each and a combined 13 rebounds.
The Panthers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing less than 50 points in their previous game and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win. Georgia State are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 non-conference games. I think both teams are solid and will be heard from and I give the Monarchs a slight edge and hopefully that's enough to get the cover...
