The Missouri State Bears take the floor with the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles for the second time.
The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles are tough to nail down right now and whether they can challenge in the Summit isn't something I can say either way. I can say the Golden Eagles need a boost at both ends of the floor and haven't fared well against the good teams on the schedule thus far. ORU is coming off of consecutive defeats at Oklahoma and then Memphis on Saturday by a 78-63 count. This was a seven point game at the half befor the Tigers slowly pulled away on 42.6% shooting and a 21-16 edge at the line with the Golden Eagles 34.5% accuracy not competitive enough. Korey Billbury was the best offensive option for Oral Roberts with 21 points and seven boards with Albert Owens and Obi Emegano scoring ten points each with Denell Henderson chipping in with eight.

Where do the Missouri State Bears fit in the MVC? I believe this team has enough scoring ability at 69+ points but my question is at the defensive end where the Bears allow 68 points and that number is too high to compete with the MVC heavyweights. MOSU is hoping to put an end to a three game skid after falling to visiting Eastern Michigan 77-65 on Saturday with the Eagles leading 31-19 after 20 minutes and never letting the Bears cut in to the lead. EMU won this with 51% accuracy which neutralized the Bears 31% shooting and 15 extra looks. Marcus Marshall led the offense with a contest best 21 points and six pulls with the tandem of Gavin Thurman and Camyn Boone netting eleven points apiece with Boone also snagging seven rebounds.
The Golden Eagles are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss and are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. Oral Roberts are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. The Bears are 15-6 ATS in their last 21 games following a ATS loss and 7-24 ATS in their last 31 non-conference games. Missouri State are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. loss and are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. Oral Roberts won this match up at home a few weeks back comfortably. It's tough to beat the same team twice but I'll take the points and hope for the best...
