The #15 Oklahoma Sooners hope to avoid the upset bid of the Weber State Wildcats when they visit the Lloyd Noble Center.
The Weber State Wildcats are expected to make a run at the Big Sky championship but their 4-5 start says the road has been a bit bumpy thus far. That is usually the case when your opponent is outscoring you 65-63. The Wildcats finally found some scoring in a 73-61 decision versus visiting Utah Valley on Saturday as they broke through the 70 point plateau for the second time. The defense was good as usual with the Wolverines limited to 36% from the field with the Wildcats hitting at 40.7% but going 12-26 from long range which was decisive. Richaud Gittens was the go to scorer with 21 points on 6-12 with Jeremy Singlin tossing in 16 points and handing out eight assists. Chris Golden and Joel Bolomboy tossed in eleven points each with Bolomboy grabbing eight rebounds.

The Oklahoma Sooners have been showing steady improvement the past several years and are hoping to breakout in 2014-15. It's been so far, so good with the Sooners ranked #15 at 7-3 behind above average numbers at both ends of the floor. The Sooners saw a three game winning streak come to an end and a chance to move up the rankings in Saturday's 69-67 loss to Washington. OU rallied from a 13 point deficit at the half only to fall short as 42% shooting and 13 more looks at the basket fell just short to the 49% marksmanship of the Huskies who struggled to protect the ball with 14 turnovers. A balanced Sooners attack featured 17 points each from Isaiah Cousins and Buddy Hield who combined for eleven rebounds. TaShawn Thomas and Ryan Spangler scored eleven points apiece with Spangler hauling in 13 rebounds.
The Wildcats are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 Monday games. Weber State are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a S.U. win and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. The Sooners are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS loss and are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a S.U. loss. Oklahoma are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games. I don't think Weber State is playing as well as they will but Oklahoma is playing well so for me it's Sooners or walk away...
