The Florida Gators and Florida State Seminoles play Tuesday night at the Donald L. Tucker Center.

The Florida Gators have won four straight games and play their second true road contest. On the season, Florida is averaging 68 points on 44.7 percent shooting and is allowing 55.5 points on 38.6 percent shooting. Michael Frazier II is averaging 14.9 points and five rebounds while Dorian Finney-Smith is averaging 12.7 points and 5.2 rebounds. Jon Horford is grabbing 6.3 rebounds and Kasey Hill is dishing out 4.5 assists. The Florida Gators remain one of the top defensive teams in the country, as they’re forcing 15.3 turnovers per game and allowing teams to shoot 30.9 percent from deep. Offensively, however, Florida is shooting 67.8 percent from the free throw line and 34.3 percent from downtown. Eli Carter is questionable for this game with an illness.

Florida State vs. Florida - 12/30/14 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Florida State Seminoles have won four of their last five games and play for the first time in eight days. On the season, FSU is averaging 71.3 points on 48.4 percent shooting and is allowing 68.6 points on 41.8 percent shooting. Montay Brandon is averaging 13.9 points and 5.4 rebounds while Xavier Rathan-Mayes is averaging 11.5 points and 5.1 assists. Devon Bookert is shooting 36.5 percent from the field and Phil Cofer is grabbing five rebounds. The Florida State Seminoles are a solid offensive team, as they’re shooting 65 percent from the line and 24.4 percent from deep. The Noles have topped 75 or more points in three of their last five games. Defensively, Florida State is forcing 13.4 turnovers and holding teams to 33.8 percent shooting from deep. Jarquez Smith is questionable for this game with an ankle injury.

The Gators are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The Seminoles are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Gators are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the underdog is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings.

I don't like the Seminoles without Arron Thomas on the floor, as the Noles can go stretches with sloppy play. When you add Florida's elite defense, this game could get ugly if FSU isn't careful. I like Florida to win this and cover the reasonable number.
