The Weber State Wildcats visit Reece Court to face Big Sky rival the Eastern Washington Eagles.
Many have the Weber State Wildcats returning to the top of the Big Sky in 2014-15 which we'll probably know whether that's a possibility in a month or so. Right now the Wildcats are scoring 66 points and allowing the same so both ends of the floor need a boost. Weber tuned up for the conference schedule with a 109-59 rout of sub division Bristol University in a game that was never competitive with the Bears held to 30% from the floor while the Wildcats seldom missed with 70% marksmanship. Richaud Gittens led the scoring onslaught with 25 points, five pulls and six helpers with a 20 point, six yank and six assist effort from Jeremy Senglin. Chris Golden was next in line with 15 points while Joel Bolomboy netted 13 points and grabbed nine boards.

The high scoring Eastern Washington Eagles have looked like a potential threat in the Big Sky with a nice 9-4 record and 80 points per game. The Eagles confidence might have taken a hit following three straight defeats that ended in an 87-81 victory over sub division Lewis-Clark that wasn't all that impressive with the Warriors sinking shots at 46%. EWU was clearly the superior shooting team at over 54% but the visitore held up well in most other areas. In the end Lewis-Clark had no answer for Tyler Harvey who pumped in 34 points on 8-10 shooting from beyond the arc. Bogdan Bliznyuk and Venky Jois each scored 13 points on 11-15 from the floor with Jois snagging seven boards. Ognjen Miljkovic followed with eleven pointsto round out the top contributors.
The Wildcats are 8-20 ATS in their last 28 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. Weber State are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU win of more than 20 points and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. win. The Eagles are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 vs. Big Sky. EWU are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall and are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a S.U. win. This seems like a big spread for an Eagles squad that hasn't been great lately. I'm backing them but not playing them...
