The Idaho Vandals are a very high scoring offense that can score with anybody in the Big Sky at 77 points but the concern is can they stop opponents to make some noise. The answer was yes in the league opener with a dominant 77-54 rout of visiting Idaho State on Thursday as a six point favorite. The Vandals made quick work of their rivals with a 19 point lead after 20 minutes and the Bengals never recovered. Idaho State was held to just 34% from the field while Idaho hit at 46% and drilled 12-23 from beyond the arc to pull away. Connor Hill was the best player on the floor with a game high 32 points on 8-13 from distance while Sekou Wiggs added 15 points and six assists. Victor Sanders chipped in with eight points as the entire ten man rotation scored.
The Wildcats are 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 games following a ATS win and are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Vandals are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 home games. Idaho are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. These teams have never played so trends are not very helpful so I'm just taking the points...
