The Tulane Green Wave welcome the Temple Owls to the Devlin Fieldhouse in an AAC tilt on Wednesday.
After several years of being a score first squad the Temple Owls have finally gotten some defense as thay are outscoring opponents 66-62 and haven't needed to score 75 points to be competitive. Having said that the Owls defense was nowhere to be found in an 84-78 victory versus visiting Central Florida for win number five in a row. The Owls were up 12 at the half and with both teams hitting shots at around 41% the difference was six more makes at the foul line. Jaylen Bond gave the Owls 21 points and 14 rebounds on 10-15 shooting with Will Cummings also pumping in another 21 points. Josh Brown added 14 points and six boards while Quenton DeCosey tossing in 12 points although five others totaled just 16 points.

The Tulane Green Wave are off to impressive start at 11-3 and I'm almost certain nobody expected this level of success. The Green Wave have shown the ability to score and defend and both units played a part in Saturday's 74-66 victory at Memphis to begin the conference schedule at 2-0. Both teams connected at 44% but the Tigers gave the ball away 16 times to give the Green Wave six more looks and a few more field goals to pull out the win as a 12 point road dog. Jonathan Stark paced the Tulane offense with 24 points on 9-19 from the field followed by a 14 point, five pull effort from Trevante Drye while Jay Hook contributed 13 points.
The Owls are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Green Wave are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. win and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. Tulane are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Both teams are defensively oriented but have never faced one anothere aren't many trends to lean on. I'm leaning to the points but I hope the Owls win as a fan...
