The Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles have the scoring ability to be competitive in the Ohio Valley but they have been inconsistent at times and that has resulted in a number of close defeats. Dwan Caldwell paced the Tennessee Tech attack with 17 points on 7-10 from the field followed by a 14 point, ten rebound performance from Charles Jackson. Torrance Rowe added eleven points but no other player was able to score more then five points.
