Strahan Coliseum and the Texas State Bobcats welcome the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans to town.
From what I have seen from the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans is you just don't know what to expect on any given day. The Trojans have played a number of close contests but for whatever reason have difficulty winning them. The Trojans have dropped seven of eight following a 72-69 loss to visiting South Alabama on Monday. The UALR defense struggled with the Jaguars hitting at nearly a 48% clip while their own offense sank shots at less then 41% which hurt with eight extra looks not being as productive in a close game. Roger Woods led the offense with 14 points and 12 rebounds followed by a 13 point effort from Ben Dillard. Josh Hagins dropped in ten points while Mariek Isom chipped in with nine points and five boards.

The Texas State Bobcats look like an under the radar squad but if they continue to crank up that top ten defense that allows just 55 points teams will be taking notice. The down side is the offense can completely disappear which is their biggest worry. The Bobcats have won three of four after escaping Georgia State with a 77-74, overtime victory on Monday. In a sloppy contest where the teams combined for 34 turnovers and hit shots in the 43%-45% range, a 9-2 edge in three pointers offset a few more field goals by the Panthers. Cameron Naylor led five double digit scorers with 18 points and five yanks with Emani Grant right on his heels with 17 points and six pulls. DJ Brown netted 13 points with the duo of Kavin Gilder-Tilbury and Etham Montalvo adding eleven poins each and a combined eleven helpers.
The Trojans are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games. Troy are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games following a ATS loss. The Bobcats are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400 while going 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. We'll see if the Texas State has a defense that is for real and if it is they cover the number...
