The Loyola-Chicago Ramblers look to take down the #15 Wichita State Shockers at the Joseph J. Gentile Arena.
It's almost a given that the Wichita State Shockers are ranker in the top 25 and are the team to beat in the Missouri Valley although seem more vulnerable then in prior seasons. Vulnerable or not the Shockers have the best combination of scoring and defense in the conference and have leaned on both in fashioning a 3-0 start in the league after routing Bradley 63-43 on Wednesday behind a 36-15 second half run. The Braves were held to less then 35% while the Shockers did their damage on 43% and a 15-7 edge at the line. Darius Carter led the offense with a game high 19 points and seven boards on 5-7 shooting with Ron Baker netting 12 points. Shaquille Morris contributed ten points and nine rebounds while ten players scored overall.

The Loyola-Chicago Ramblers have come a long way in a short time since leaving the Horizon for the MVC. The Ramblers struggled to reach the middle of the Horizon standings and now hold a 12-3 record with some scoring punch and a top 50 defense that allows just 60 points. The Ramblers have won eight of ten after squeezing by Evansville 71-70 to improve to 2-1 in the Missouri Valley. The offense saved the day with the Purple Aces connecting at a hefty 57% and LCU staying competitive with 51% and eight more shots with an 8-1 advantage on threes likely the winning stat. Loyola-Chicago received 16 points and five yanks from Christian Thomas with the twosome of Milton Doyle and Donte Ingram netting 13 points apiece. Earl Peterson and Joe Crisman combined for 17 points with the entire nine man rotation scoring.
The Shockers are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 vs. Missouri Valley and 36-14-3 ATS in their last 53 games following a ATS win. Wichita State are 36-14-1 ATS in their last 51 games overall and 38-15-2 ATS in their last 55 games following a S.U. win. The Ramblers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Lotola-Chicago are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The world will be on the Shockers for certain and I think they win and could do it by double digits but I'm taking the points...
