UCF Arena plays host to the AAC tilt between the Central Florida Knights and the Tulane Green Wave.
The Tulane Green Wave were a mystery team heading in to their first season as a member of the AAC. From what I've seen thus far the Green Wave are a quality squad that could pose some problems for the rest of the league. The offense has scoring potential but the defense doesn't need a lot of scoring to win at 62 points allowed. Tulane improved to 3-1 in the conference after surviving South Florida 56-51 in overtime on Sunday. This was either poor shooting or great defense with the Bulls holding a slight 35.6%-33% edge in marksmanship. USF sank six more field goals but Tulane 22 Bulls personals in to a 22-5 advantage at the stripe. Louis Dabney carried the Green Wave scoring with a game high 25 points on 8-12 in 40 minutes with Jay Hook adding another nine points.

I always say that when a team allows more points then they score then winning consistently isn't likely to happen. The Central Florida Knights are treading water at 8-7 but are being outscored 70-68 and are off to a 1-3 mark in conference play. The Knights are coming off of a 70-61 loss to visiting Southern Methodist on Sunday where the Mustangs trademark defense limited UCF to 36% from the floor which wasn't nearly enough to compete with SMU's torid 57% marksmanship. The trio of Brandon Goodwin, BJ Taylor and Adonys Henriquez each sored eleven points on a combined 11-35 from the floor. Daiquan Walker added another eight with Justn McBride and Kasey Wilson netting seven points each. Balanced scoring but certainly not enough points.
The Green Wave are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games. Tulane are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games following a ATS loss. The Knights are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. Central Florida are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 7-0 ATS in their last 7 vs. American Athletic Conference. Tulane has the far better record but Central Florida has done well in this match up. Both teams have scratch your performances and the line looks like a trap so use caution...
