The Texas State Bobcats travel to College Park Center to take the floor with the Texas-Arlington Mavericks.
The Texas State Bobcats need to begin to string the wins together as the .500 basketball they have played over the last ten times out won't be enough to challenge in the Sun Belt. The Bobcats let an opportunity slip through their fingers in a 78-73 overtime loss at Arkansas State on Saturday. The Red Wolves tagged the Bobcats D with 45.5% shooting but the visitors only connected at 34% with nine more looks and three more bombs keeping things competitive. Ethan Montalvo paced three double digit scorers with 18 points before fouling out in 38 minutes while Cameron Naylor came off the bench to score 15 minutes before he to fouled out in 21 minutes. Emani Grant added eleven points and eight boards with Wesley Davis and JaMarcus Weatherspoon netting eight points with the latter grabbing nine rebounds.

The Texas-Arlington Mavericks are in the same boat as their counterparts in that they need to start putting together some wins as they've dropped three of four following an 83-62 defeat at Georgia State on Thursday. The Panthers erupted for 47 points over the final 20 minutes to pull away from a tight contest behind 50% shooting. The Mavericks were held to 40% from the field and turned the ball over 26 times to take themselves out of the game. UTA was balanced but hardly explosive with Greg Gainey leading the offense with eleen points with Johnny Hill and Lonnie McClanahan scoring nine points each with McClanahan grabbing ten rebounds while Hill turned the ball over eleven times. Erick Neal and Kevin Hervey combined for 17 points with eleven players scoring altogether.
The Bobcats are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss. Texas State are 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall and 5-14-1 ATS in their last 20 road games. The Mavericks are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a SU loss of more than 20 points and 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a ATS loss while going 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 games following a S.U. loss. I'd say don't have too much faith in either one of these clubs because I have made that mistake...
