The College of Charleston Cougars welcome the North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks to TD Arena.
The North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks were not considered a contender in the Colonial before the season began and their 9-8 record would agree to that assessment but wins in four of five say this team might have a shot. UNCW rallied from a five point deficit at the break behind a 46-36 second half to defeat Hofstra 79-74 with 47% shooting and 14 more looks negating the Pride's 42% accuracy and eleven more free throws. Addison Spruill paced four double digit scorers with a game high 23 points on 8-16 from the floor with Freddie Jackson next in line with 21 points. Jordan Talley followed with 17 points before fouling out in 17 minutes while Cedrick Williams chipped in with ten points. The top four scorers posted all eight points.

The Charleston Cougars move from the SoCon to the Colonial hasn't been very smooth as the offense is averaging less then 60 points which is a major reason their record stands at 6-13. The Cougars have dropped nine of ten and failed to post consecutive victories after a 69-67 loss at Northeastern as a ten point dog on Saturday. The Cougars enjoyed a big scoring game on 43% from the floor and ten extra shots with nine bombs almost overcoming the Huskies healthy 53.5% marksmanship. Joe Chealy led all scorers with 23 points on 7-14 from the floor while Adjehi Baru netting 13 points on 4-7 shooting. Canyon Berry netted eleven points and grabbed six boards while Evan Bailey and Cameron Johnson combined for another 15 points.
The Seahawks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. UNCW are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Colonial Athletic Association and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400. The Cougars are 18-38-1 ATS in their last 57 games overall and 15-34-2 ATS in their last 51 home games. Charleston are 9-23-1 ATS in their last 33 games following a S.U. loss and 7-19-1 ATS in their last 27 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. I haven't seen the Seahawks play as well as they have in recent memory and CofC is struggling. UNCW as the better team is my choice...
