The UC Davis Aggies make the long trip to the Stan Steriff Center to face the Hawaii Warriors.
The UC Davis Aggies are one of the more rounded teams in the Big West which means they can score and defend. The Aggies have been strong at both ends of the floor in a 4-0 start to conference play capped off by a 79-68 victory at Cal State Fullerton on Saturday. UCD led by 13 at the break and never looked back as the Titans were held to 34% accuracy while the Aggies burned the nets at 53% including a 9-19 mark from long range. Corey Hawkins was the go to scorer with a game high 26 points an ten rebounds on 7-14 from the field while Josh Fox tossed in another 20 points on 8-11 before fouling out in 24 minutes. The Hawaii Warriors have one of the bigger offenses in the Big West but have found the points difficult to comeby in the early stages of the conference schedule. The Warriors started fast but struggled late in a 66-62 loss at UC Riverside as the Highlanders rallied from an early double figure deficit. UH connected at 35% and totaled a whopping 19 more looks thanks to 23 UCR turnovers which went for naught. UC Riverside hit at a respectable 46% from the floor and held slight advantages in threes and foul shooting. Stefan Jankovic gave the Warriors 17 points and five yanks on 6-10 followed by a 15 point effort from Isaac Fleming. Roderick Bobbitt netted ten points with six pulls, five assists and five steals whle Quincy Smith chipped in with nine points.
The Aggies are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. win and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. UC Davis are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. Big West and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win. The Warriors are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 home games and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 Thursday games while going 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. Big West. Even though UC Davis is a great team the travel is always a concern and Hawaii is tough at home so this is a difficult match up in my view...
