Michigan vs. Wisconsin - 1/24/15 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Michigan Wolverines have won six of their last eight games and look for their sixth Big Ten win. On the season, Michigan is averaging 64.9 points on 41.1 percent shooting and is allowing 61.7 points on 43.5 percent shooting. Zak Irvin is averaging 13.7 points and four rebounds while Derrick Walton Jr. is averaging 10.4 points and 3.1 assists. Spike Albrecht is dishing 3.3 assists and Ricky Doyle is shooting 66.7 percent from the field. The Michigan Wolverines have just four players averaging at least 4.9 points, and they’re shooting 73.5 percent from the line and 35.4 percent from downtown. Defensively, Michigan is allowing 34.5 percent shooting from deep and has given up 65 or less points in eight of its last nine games. It’ll be interesting to see how UM rebounds from the loss of Caris LeVert.

The Badgers are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 vs. Big Ten and 15-7-2 ATS in their last 24 games overall. The Wolverines are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The home team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings and the underdog is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings.

While we know Wisconsin is the much better team, it's still Michigan on its home court. It's still tough to win on the road in the Big Ten, which is why I'm taking the Wolverines and the points.
