The North Carolina Central Eagles look to stay perfect in the MEAC when the Delaware State Hornets visit.
The Delaware State Hornets are trying to challenge in the MEAC and their play as of late says the team has a shot. The Hornets have ripped off four consecutive victories after downing after routing North Carolina A&T 67-52 on Saturday. The Hornets were up three going to the locker room before taking the mystery out of this one on a 41-29 second half run. The Aggies never found the shooting touch on 28% accuracy while DSU connected at 46.6% which was decisive as it equated to nine more baskets. Amere May tossed in a contest high 21 points and posted five pulls on 8-15 shooting with DeAndre Haywood adding 12 points and five yanks. Kendall Gray netted ten points and hauled in 12 rebounds with Tyshawn Bell chipping in with eight points.

Although there is still a long way to go in the conference season the North Carolina-Central Eagles are ruling the roost right now at 7-0. The Eagles can score and defend at 69-56 with the defense ranked number ten in the nation. The scoring saved the day in a 79-77 victory versus visiting Coppin State on Saturday for their 9th straight win. NCCU lost the shooting battle 44.8%-47.6% but managed five more attempts and sank four more field goals to offset three more bombs from CSU. Jordan Parks was unstoppable with 25 points and eleven rebounds on 10-16 from the floor followed by a 19 point, seven pull effort from Dante Holmes. Karamo Jawara provided more muscle with 15 points and ten boards with Nimrod Hilliard and Anthony McDonald adding eleven and seven points with Hilliard posting five helpers.
