The Bowling Green Falcons and the Northern Illinois Huskies do battle at the Stroh Center Tuesday.
The Northern Illinois Huskies are just trying to stay afloat and possibly crack the top four in the MAC but at 2-4 in the conference they can ill afford to fall much further behind. The Huskies have been struggling offensively and that trend continued in a 60-55 defeat to Miami (Ohio) on Saturday. The Redhawks simply were better in the halfcourt with nearly 49% shooting with NIU staying close despite 33% markamanship with eight more looks and a few more makes at the line. Aaron Armstead paced the attack with 15 points with Anthony Johnson adding 12 followed by seven point efforts from Darrell Bowie and Chuks Iroegbu.

The Bowling Green Falcons lean on their defense to control opposing teams and with good reason with this unit giving up less ten 59 points. The defense faltered and the offense couldn't keep up in a 71-67 defeat at Toledo. An strong second half performance by the Rockets erase a two point deficit as their 44.6% shooting and nine more free throws were too much for the 41% accuracy of the Falcons. BGSU received 14 points and six pulls fro Richaun Homes while Jovan Austin and Jehvon Clarke scored 13 and 12 points with Austin handing out five assists. Spencer Parker and Anthony Henderson rounded out the scoring with a combined 15 points.
The Huskies are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a S.U. loss. NIU are 18-7-3 ATS in their last 28 vs. Mid-American and 7-3-2 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. The Falcons are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. loss and 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. BGSU are 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 home games.
