The Towson Tigers pay a visit to the Mack Sports Complex to take the floor with CAA foe the Hofstra Pride.
The Towson Tigers are in a must win mode in the Colonial at 2-6 and have to win the majority of their remaining games to have a chance of challenging for a top spot in the conference. Life is difficult when getting outscored 64-63 with no room for error but the offense lent a helping hand in Thursday's 74-70 win versus Charleston although a 14 point half time lead was almost blown. The Cougars were limited to 37.7% from the field with the Tigers checking in at 44.7% but this was a foulfest more then anything with the home team holding a 27-24 edge at the line. Four McGlynn paced the offensive explosion with a game high 20 points with Mike Morsell adding 15 points and six pulls. Walker Foster scored nine while the twosome of Byron Hawkins and Eddie Keith netted eight points apiece while combining for ten rebounds.

The offensively minded Hofstra Pride appeared to be a sure bet in finishing among the top in the Colonial Athletic a few short weeks ago but nothing looks certain right now. The offense is lighting up the scoreboard at almost 79 points but the Pride have lost three of four to stand at 5-4 in league action. The team is looking to bounce back from a one sided 100-79 defeat at William & Mary which was never competitive with the Tribe jumping out to a 54-34 lead after 20 minutes and coasting the rest of the way. W&M connected at nearly 65% from the floor with the Pride hitting at 40% which was a difference of eleven field goals. Hofstra received 23 points on 7-15 from Brian Bernardi followed by a 20 point, ten rebound performance from Ameen Tanksley. Juan'ya Green added 14 points while Rokas Gustys chipped in with seven points and seven boards.
The Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Pride are 6-1-2 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU loss of more than 20 points. Hofstra are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games while going 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. All things being equal, Hofstra is the correct side if they shake off the embarassment at William & Mary...
