The Line: Ohio Bobcats +2 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Akron Zips look to solidify their grip on the MAC East lead with a road win at the Ohio Bobcats.
The Akron Zips are looking as fearsome as they did a few years back although the team never really had an 'off' year to rebuild. Decent scoring and very good defense is their MO with both contributing to a three game winning streak following a tough 69-68 victory at Bowling Green on Saturday. The Zips held a slight 40%-38.5% shooting edge with a few more baskets and threes just enough to ovrcome the Falcons superiority at the foul line. Pat Forsythe paced the offense with a game high 20 points and six boards on 6-8 from the field before fouling out in 24 minutes. BJ Gladden was next in line with eleven points on 4-4 accuracy while Kwan Cheatham Jr., Noah Robotham and Antino Jackson combined for 27 points with Cheatham Jr. snagging seven rebounds.

The Ohio Bobcats are generally found at or near the top of the conference standings but are rebuilding and having issues getting both ends of the floor on the same page. The Bobcats appeared to be turning things around with consecutive victories but then dropped back to back contests in a 74-69 defeat at Central Michigan. Ohio did not go down without a fight as they fought back from a ten point deficit at the half only to fall short. Both teams sank shots in the 46%-47% range with the Chippewas winning it with an 11-5 advantage from beyond the arc. Javarez Willis paced a balanced attack with 14 points on 6-13 shooting followed by Ryan Taylor and Antonio Campbell with 12 points apiece with Antonio snaring seven boards. Maurice Ndour scored eleven points and hauled in 14 rebounds with Mike Laster rounding out the scoring with nine points.
The Zips are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Mid-American. Akron are 7-15 ATS in their last 22 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 road games. The Bobcats are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 home games and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 Wednesday games. Ohio are 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and 5-17 ATS in their last 22 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. This seems to favor Akron but for some reason Ohio plays well in this match up yet I'mm just backing the hot team still...
