It's been several season since the Temple Owls were a serious contender but this might be the year. The Owls have won three in a row and have climbed in to the top four of the AAC but staying there is now the task at hand. The Owls really cranked up the defensive intensity in a 55-37 victory over visiting Tulane Saturday as a ten point favorite. The Green Wave fell in to a deep hole with Temple up 28-8 after 20 minutes and never mounted a rally. Tulane was held to 26% marksmansip which made the Owls 38% an easy winner as it amounted to eight more field goals. Quenton DeCosey led three double digit scorers with a game high 17 points and seven boards while Will Cummings turned in a 13 point, six pull and six assist effort. Obi Enechionyia added 12 points with the rest of the team contributing 13 points.

The South Florida Bulls haven't done a lot of winning over the last several seasons and 2014-15 doesn't look like things are changing for the better. The Bulls are trying to escape the the conference basement but have yet to right the ship with seven consecutive defeats capped off by a 78-71 overtime loss at Tulsa on Saturday as a 14 point underdog. USF connected at 50% from the floor and were 10-21 from beyond the arc while the Golden Hurricane stayed competitive on 43% from the floor with eleven more looks and eight more free throws getting the job done. Corey Allen Jr. shouldered the offense with a game high 32 points on 13-19 shooting with Anthony Collins netting 19 points on 7-13. Nehemias Morillo rounded out the top contributors with 15 points as the threesome scored all but five points.
The Owls are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. Temple are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. win and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. The Bulls are 4-10-2 ATS in their last 16 games overall and 4-11-1 ATS in their last 16 games following a S.U. loss. South Florida are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games and 3-9-2 ATS in their last 14 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. Not a whole lot of thought going in to this one except taking the better team...
