The Missouri State Bears hope to avoid the season sweep by the Wichita State Shockers when they visit Charles Koch Arena.
I don't remember the time I would say the Missouri State Bears had a big offense but I do know it's not this season as the half court offense is outscored 63-61 which is tough to win with. The Bears are coming in off of a 53-50 loss to visiting Loyola (Chicago) where they conrolled the pace but struggled to score. The Ramblers were up 12 at the half and held off a late charge despite being outshot 43%-40% because they hit more threes and free throws for a close win. Gavin Thurman kept Missouri State competitive with a game high 15 points on 7-14 from the floor with Camyn Boone adding 13 points and a game high seven rebounds. The issue was finding help for this tandem nobody else able to score more then six points.

The Wichita State Shockers are in an unfamiliar spot as in second place in the Missouri Valley behind Northern Iowa so the obvious goal is to take back the top spot which seems to have belonged to them forever. The Shockers bounced back from a loss to UNI with a 62-59 victory at Bradley as a 16 point favorite. This looked like a blowout was in the making with WSU taking a 13 point lead in to the locker room before the Braves rallied to make things interesting. The visitors shot the ball at nearly 48% while limiting the Braves to under 36% but Bradley's 14 extra looks were put to good use. Ron Baker led a trio of double digit scorers points each with Cotton posting seven rebounds.
The Bears are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. Missouri State are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. loss and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Shockers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 Saturday games and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. Wichita State are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400. I'm just taking the Shockers on potential but they haven't been covering....
