The Monmouth Hawks and the Canisius Golden Griffins take the hardwood at the Multipurpose Activity Center.
The Canisius Golden Griffins appeared destined to finish in the top half of the MAAC a few short weeks ago but have since dropped three of four although there is plenty of time to regroup. That didn't happen in a 78-69 loss at Manhattan on Friday night with the Jaspers fighting off a late rally to stay hot. It wasn't a pretty game with each team turning the ball over 20 times and even uglier for the Golden Griffins and their 31% shooting which made the 44% marksmanship of Manhattan look red hot. Zach Lewis carried the Canisius offense with a game high 25 points along with five yanks and five steals while Kassius Robertson scored 13 points. Josiah Heath added eleven points and 12 rebounds with Jermaine Crumpton chipping in with eight points.

The Monmouth Hawks are another team that was another team that was flying high a few weeks ago and are in need of a momentum swing after falling in three of four to drop to 4th in the conference. Neither end of the floor did much positive in a 72-52 defeat at Quinnipiac on Thursday as the Bobcats took a 13 point lead and never were challenged. The Hawks connected at 33% from the field with the home team responding at 39% including a 9-24 performance on threes while also dominating the glass by a 41-28 margin. Deon Jones gave Monmouth 12 points and five yanks with Austin Tilghman and Justiin Robinson netting eleven points each with Robinson grabbing five boards and posting nine assists.
The Golden Griffins are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 road games and 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. Canisius 13-5 ATS in their last 18 vs. Metro Atlantic Athletic and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Sunday games. The Hawks are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 home games. Monmouth are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS loss and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. I don't see an angle here and really don't see this as a betting opportunity...
