The Fresno State Bulldogs go on the road to face the UNLV Rebels in a Mountain West battle Tuesday.
The Fresno State Bulldogs don't have the type of numbers that jump off the page at 65 points scored and 65 points allowed with an 11-12 record being the result. However tbe Bullldogs are still fighting to crack the top half of the conference as they stand in 5th place. Fresno is hoping to build on an 81-63 victory over San Jose State that was competitive until a 44-32 second half run with the Spartans held to 41.7% shooting and 18 turnovers while firing away at 51% themselves. Cezar Guerrero led five double digit scorers with 14 points and eight rebounds with Karacho Edo netting 12 points. Julien Lewis and Marvelle Harris added eleven points apiece with Harris grabbing nine boards and posting six helpers and three steals.

The UNLV Rebels have played some strong basketball over the past few weeks but it's been tough moving up rhe rankings with so many teams ahead of them. The Rebels saw a chance at a four game winning streak escape their grasp in an 83-82 loss at Colorado State on Saturday as a ten point underdog. The Rams held a slight 48%-47% shooting advantage which equaled a few more baskets while UNLV kept things close with a few more threes. Rashad Vaughn kept the Rebels offense afloat with a game high 30 points on 12-21 from the floor which included six bombs. Patrick McCaw and Christian Wood followed with 16 points apiece with Wood hauling in eleven rebounds while McCaw handed out seven assists. The entire eight man rotation played at least ten minutes with each scoring.
The Bulldogs are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win and 1-3-2 ATS in their last 6 games overall. Fresno State are 1-3-2 ATS in their last 6 vs. Mountain West and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The Runnin' Rebels are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and are 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 Tuesday games. I could see this going either way with the points although I can't see Fresno State winning. This actually could be a blowout but I'm not comfortable laying the points...
