VCU vs. Saint Louis - 2/17/15 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The VCU Rams have split their last six games and are chasing an A-10 crown. On the season, VCU is averaging 73.8 points on 42.8 percent shooting and is allowing 65.5 points on 42.5 percent shooting. Treveon Graham is averaging 15.9 points and 6.4 rebounds while Melvin Johnson is averaging 13.2 points and 1.9 assists. JeQuan Lewis is dishing 2.7 assists and Terry Larrier is shooting 37.7 percent from the field. The VCU Rams have six players averaging at least 6.1 points, and they’re shooting 64 percent from the line and 34.7 percent from downtown. Defensively, VCU is allowing 36.5 percent shooting from deep and has given up 66 or less points in seven of its last 10 games.

The Billikens are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games and 8-22-1 ATS in their last 31 games overall. The Rams are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games and 5-14-1 ATS in their last 20 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and favorite is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings.

This is far too many points to lay in an A-10 game, especially with the way Saint Louis has been playing defense lately. Also, three of the last four meetings between these two teams have been decided by six or less points. Give me the Billikens and the points.
