The Western Carolina Catamounts play host to the Cleveland State Vikings at the Ramsey Center Tuesday.

The Cleveland State Vikings are one of the best teams in the Horizon with an 11-3 conference mark which is good for second behind Valparaiso. The Vikings have won four of five after downing Illinois (Chicago) 67-59 as a 14 point favorite on Sunday. The Flames offense was limited to 28% shooting which negated 17 more looks at the basket with the Vikings taking care of business with over 55% marksmanship including an 8-15 mark from long range. Trey Lewis paced the offense with a game high 18 points and five yanks on 7-14 from the field with Marlin Mason netting eleven points. Charlie Lee and Anton Grady added nine points with Grady hauling in 13 rebounds followed by eight point efforts from Ninny Zollo and Andre Yates.

USA TODAY Sports

With the end of the regular season in view each game has a huge meaning for the 5th place Western Carolina Catamounts who trail East Tennessee State for the 4th spot in the SoCon. The Catamounts need every win they can muster at this point in the season and instead took one on the chin in a 75-55 defeat at the hands of visiting Wofford. The Terriers jumped to a double digit lead after 20 minutes and kept the pressure on until the final buzzer. Wofford did not miss with 50% shooting including a 13-26 performance on threes to easily outdistance the 30.5% accuracy of the Catamounts. WCU received 15 points on 5-8 from the field from Torrion Brummitt followed by a 12 point, nine rebound effort by James Sinclair while Mike Brown rounded out the top contributors with nine points and six boards.

The Vikings are 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 road games. Cleveland State are 16-6-1 ATS in their last 23 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games following a ATS loss. The Catamounts are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. Western Carolina are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Tuesday games. These reams don't play so nothing to compare so for me I'll go with the better defense...
