The Western Michigan Broncos hope to right the ship with the Ohio Bobcats coming to town on Wednesday night.
This has been a down year for the Ohio Bobcats although we could see some issues with this team a season ago. I would go as far to say the Bobcats are rebuilding with opponents scoring more then then the Bobcats offense can. That was what we saw in Saturday's 77-66 defeat at Miami (Ohio) where the Redhawks outscored the visitors 39-25 over the final 20 minutes behind white hot 55% marksmanship. The Bobcats connected at 45% but the Redhawks owned the foul line 18-2 which was decisive. Antonio Campbell paced the offense with 17 points and hauled in a contest high ten rebounds followed by a 14 point effort from Javarez Willis. Maurice Ndour added eleven points and nine boards with three others combining for 22 points.

The Western Michigan Broncos began the season looking as tough as they did a year ago but the team seemed to have lost their way with defeats in five of seven to leave the Broncos at just 6-6 in the conference. The defeats have been generally competitive but the bounce have not gone their way. WMU is coming off a 69-65 win versus visiting Northern Illinois where the Huskies held a 45.5%-41% shooting advantage which was negated by a few more threes and eight more free throws. David Brown led three double digit scores with a game high 17 times on 5-9 from the floor followed by a 16 point, seven board performance by Tucker Haymond. Connar Tava added eleven points and anoth seven pulls while AJ Avery hauled in a game high ten rebounds to go along with six points.
The Bobcats are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Ohio are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games and 6-16 ATS in their last 22 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Broncos are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400 and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 Wednesday games. Western Michigan are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS loss and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. The Broncos have not looked good and ditto for Ohio so not an attractive bet for me...
