USA TODAY Sports

The Richmond Spiders improved to 14-12 (7-6 A-10) on the season after defeating the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 71-56, this past Wednesday. Richmond shot 50.0% from the field and 44.4% (8-18) from beyond the arc in the victory. Leading the way for the Spiders was Terry Allen who had 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 steals. Richmond is ranked 87th in the RPI Standings and has played the 45th ranked SOS. On the season, the Spiders have been led by Kendall Anthony (16.6 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 2.3 apg) and Terry Allen (12.4 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.3 spg). Richmond is averaging 66.0 ppg (ranked 203rd) on 46.0% shooting (ranked 70th). The Spiders average 6.8 three-pointers per game (ranked 118th) and have an assist/turnover ratio of 1.34 (ranked 27th).  Richmond is holding their opponents to an average of 61.3 ppg (ranked 57th) on 42.8% shooting (ranked 172nd). The Spiders pull down just 28.62 total rpg (ranked 341st) however, have a turnover margin of 3.4 (ranked 17th).

The Colonials are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Spiders are 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win.

The Colonials have really been struggling as they've dropped 5 of their last 6 games as they just can't seem to find their offensive. Richmond is 3-3 in their last 6, but looked more like the team we saw beat Davidson 89-63 and VCU 64-55 in late January. For George Washington to have a chance in this one, they need to get by the defensive pressure of Richmond and take advantage of their size underneath the basket. Although I think George Washing and their bigs could have good games, I just can't trust the Colonials at this time and I'm going to back a Richmond team that generally plays well at home. Take Richmond to cover in this one.
